Another selection of models finished and available for your viewing pleasure (hopefully). A real rogues gallery of characters from Hasslefree Miniatures. As with all these figures, the colour schemes are a mix of client-side wants and personal interpretation, so fingers-crossed I've done okay 😐.  In this collection, we meet Giant, Gruff, Jade, Morgan, Elite Ken, Tomoko, Elite Ashlee and Elit    

Still going through the pain-in-the-ass that is the flooring of the place, I'd promised myself not to get any more models until it had all been sorted out; well, as it's dragging on a bit, I ended up buying a bundle. That being said, it was a mix of new models (for me) as well as a couple of old friends. I ordered a beautiful Lilith sculpt and the Bubba/Elvis from Hasslefree Miniatures. I've painted Bubba a couple of times in the past, and he's so easy to let your creativity free wit him. I plan on a pale blue jumpsuit this time (Red and White previously). From Badsquiddo, I went for one of my favourite duos - the Action heroine badasses. Like Bubba, they're perfect for letting your imagination loose; although quite simple figures, they still offer the opportunity to give them full-on personalities. I freely admit to being bad at drawing - my sister is the crazy-good (tattoo) artist of the fam - but I still like to sketch occasionally, and this is the result of some recent work. Nothing special, and I need to work on my eyes, but reasonably pleased.  Yup, a quickie post. Should have some model pics uploaded soon, but in the meantime, you'll have to cope with my drawings.

Finished my little side project for some former ice-cream sticks, plus a couple of additional ones too. I have been finishing a set of Mercenaries and a Native American Chief too, but I'll post them in the next few days. Still need to varnish , but their all done, and as I said in my previous post, I'm not too sure what use they may be beyond just being (hopefully) interesting/pretty to look at. They'll be going on the shop soon, probably framed? Not too sure yet. Also decided on another social media stepback/detox? Just don't think it's for me, seems to set me orf on cynicism, feeling down and, ultimately - drinking. Which is never fun. So while I haven't deleted them, I doubt I'll be going back to Twitter anytime soon. And I'm only staying with Facebook until I finish a couple of commissions. Well, don't want to end on too much of a downer, as a result, I might actually start posting regularly here (OoOOOOoooo). Okay, this blog doesn't get many...

With my sporadic painting time at the moment, as well as trying to get some model painting in, I've also started using up a large collection of Ice-cream sticks by painting them. For what? Not entirely sure at the moment; they may find themselves on the shop as just strange micro-art pieces, but you could use them as thick bookmarks? ... okay maybe not. They may look a little better in box frames too. Hmmm - Anyway, this is a quickie post to show them off. I still need to finish the lower areas, but they're pretty much done. I decided to keep them fairly simple, and go for generic fantasy types: Wizard/Mage, Elf, Cyborg, and Lovecraftian creature ... Have a few ideas for others, but for now this is just a sideline while still painting from a suitcase!

 Berlintuesday takes an uninvited break of late, thanks to an underfloor leak that is causing more trouble than it maybe worth. Very long story short; a pipe leaked under the floor, which means most of the flooring of my current dwelling needs to be removed and sorted ... meaning a move. Not the greatest at the best of times, but needing to move out, knowing that you need to do the reverse 3-to-6 months later, 'aint much fun either. But, there you go, eh. And so, most operations have been put on hold - can't paint with the desk, paints, varnishes and models all packed and ready to go. But, in the meantime, I have been formulating a few plans for when I return ... Oooo, intriguing, I know. Well, maybe not THAT intriguing, but I'm excited and encouraged none-the-less. Apart from a slight revamp of my painting methodology and the overall way I use my humble Etsy shop, I've also been looking at making some tshirt designs. Nothing overly crazy, but some unique designs around...

Well, I finally completed my WW2 Sniper diorama. And, I have to say that I'm pretty pleased with the result. Not perfect by any means, but my first real try at putting together a simple diorama scene from start to finish. After a few tries at making the brick wall, its look once painted is one of my favourite parts of the whole model. I have to say that the quality of the Life Miniatures figure is worth noting too; a real pleasure to paint. I decided to keep the stand simple, but next time I think I'll make a dark-stained one rather than the lighter, nature wood look. Again, for my first real attempt, I'm happy with the result.
