It feels strange to be painting some Space Marine Terminators, because they're the first Warhammer models I've painted in a long while. A fair few months back I painted a set of Chaos Cultists, but even until that point, I'd mostly been working on models from other smaller/independent manufacturers. I hadn't fallen out of love with Warhammer/Games Workshop, but I just had more interest in some of the other varied sculpts and genres that were on offer. To be fair, painting this set was not out of personal choice; it was part of a commission. But I can't deny enthusiasm when I saw them. They've all had a few initial passes of colour over them with the airbrush, to get the basic highlights, and now I'm getting one figure finished at a time; starting with the edge highlights to the armor, then blocking-in the main colours - pipes, vents, velum, gold areas and gun-parts ... Pretty pleased with the way the first one turned out, so now just need to make my way...
