The Last of the Saxons and Space Hulk ...

It feels strange to be painting some Space Marine Terminators, because they're the first Warhammer models I've painted in a long while. A fair few months back I painted a set of Chaos Cultists, but even until that point, I'd mostly been working on models from other smaller/independent manufacturers. I hadn't fallen out of love with Warhammer/Games Workshop, but I just had more interest in some of the other varied sculpts and genres that were on offer.

To be fair, painting this set was not out of personal choice; it was part of a commission. But I can't deny enthusiasm when I saw them.
They've all had a few initial passes of colour over them with the airbrush, to get the basic highlights, and now I'm getting one figure finished at a time; starting with the edge highlights to the armor, then blocking-in the main colours - pipes, vents, velum, gold areas and gun-parts ...

Pretty pleased with the way the first one turned out, so now just need to make my way through the rest!

Elsewhere, the Saxons are very nearly sorted. Three left to undercoat, but should finish the two pictured (as of writing) in the next day or so.
