Progress: Onna-Musha, The Grave-Keeper and Octren ...

Image
Having not painted many Warhammer models for a bit, it's strange trying to get used to such a Game-workshop-ee names like Gorslav or Raduka the Wolf . Gave me the shivers, and I remember all those years ago, trying to actually play a basic Warhammer game at a store in Bromley. Never any good; just didn't make any sense to me then and, sadly, still doesn't now. But the figures themselves fascinated me, and I took more interest in painting them - making them ready of battle that feeling the need to partake in any of that heated dice-rolling. Since that day, I've never been much of a fan of the Bretonnian Knights. So, painting these Cursed City figures, checking reference and smiling everytime I mix up an 'Octren' with a 'Qulathis'. But, regardless of nostalgia, I present another few completed figures for both sets I'm working on ... The second of the Onna-Musha, with one more left. I decided on a green for her under-armor, and it didn't really hit...

Onna-Musha and Skeleton Markers ...

Image
Well, first of the Objective markers done; a pair of, rather grim, hanged skeletons, and some early prep on another goodie? , the strange Octren Glimscry. Need to catch-up on finishing two more Onna-Musha, but reasonably pleased with the first one. As usual from Bad Squiddo Games models, these are nice little scultps with plenty of detail. Just a short-and-sweet post this time!

Progress II: More Feudal Japan, Torgillius ...

Another quick update from the painting desk. Torgillius is done, and the next out the box is a 'goodie' this time; Dagnai Holdenstock. A nice steampunk aestetic going on with this one, so lots of brass, copper - should be fun. As you can see, I've also finished a couple of Bad Squiddo 'Shin-whackers' (trainee bugeisha) for the Feudal Japan set. Next on the list there are a set of Onna-Musha.

Early start - Radukar & Onna-bugeisha

Quickie post! A heads-up on a couple of commissions I'm currently working on. One is a set of Feudal Japan models from Bad Squiddo Games; started a few already, which I typed about in a previous post, and the other a set from Games Workshop The Cursed City. So two very different genres. I'm certainly intruiged by the Cursed City figures, as I haven't painted any Warhammer for a bit. Starting out on Radukar the Wolf - a nice sculpt, but need to do some spruce clean-up and filling. Regardless, there should be some more interesting updates soon. As you can see, I need to do some clean-up and filling. I'll be posting various updates over the next few weeks to document the progress.
